Dr. Matt Barle PT, DPT, CSCS, USA-W, TPI-M2, GTS

Owner/Performance Physical Therapist

I’m Dr Matt. I was born and raised in Massapequa, NY. Once a chief, always a chief! Sports have always been a major part of my life. I’m an athlete and will always be an athlete. I played college baseball at Adelphi University. I wasn’t always the most talented on the field, but you better believe I was always one of the hardest workers in the room.

After graduating from Adelphi, I started working as a PT aide and a strength & conditioning coach for an outpatient orthopedic company. I worked with every sport you can think of and with athletes ranging from the high school to professional levels.

I attended New York Institute of Technology where I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While in school, I had several clinical affiliations at a variety of different outpatient orthopedic practices throughout New York. After graduation, I continued working for the same outpatient orthopedic company for a year or so, but it wasn’t long until I wanted to take things to the next level. I was sick of having multiple patients scheduled at once and not being able to provide the quality of care I knew I could give and my patients deserved. That’s where Trident Physical Therapy was born.

Nowadays, I continue to push the limits and make sure I maintain an athlete’s mindset. I am a jack of all trades and believe in practicing what you preach. I’ve completed numerous Tough Mudders. You’ll find me strength training in the gym at least 3-4 times a week. I do yoga and love running (as long as the weather is nice).

If you’re looking for someone to hold your hand, you came to the wrong place. If you want someone that is going to push you to be the best version of yourself, then I’m your guy. You give me 100% effort and I’ll give you a 110% all day, every day. It’s time to flip the script on what you think physical therapy looks like. If you’re ready for an unmatched physical therapy experience, let’s get started.

Dr. Vikas Patel PT, DPT, FRCms, FRSC

Performance Physical Therapist

Dr Vikas Patel earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Long Island University after completing his undergraduate studies in Accounting and Biology at Queens College. During his training as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, he gained a vast amount of knowledge and clinical experience in orthopedics, sports, neurology, and the geriatric population allowing him to evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide variety of individuals. Building an effective rapport with patients from the start is the basis of Vik’s treatment approach.

Vik utilizes a holistic approach to his treatment philosophy to help identify and treat the root cause of dysfunction within the human body. Having a solid foundation and understanding of the way the human body moves serves as the basis in helping his patients get mobile, strong and improve overall quality of life.

Vik is trained and well versed in the use of Graston Technique, Cupping, FRC (Functional Range Conditioning), and Postural Restoration (PRI) techniques just to name a few.

In his spare time he enjoys constantly learning, weightlifting, photography, and training. He also coaches Brazilian Jiujitsu and currently holds a Brown Belt himself.

Why “Trident” Physical Therapy?

We hold the relationships that we form with our patients in very high regard. Because of the fact that we are one-on-one, we are fortunate to get to know our patients very well. We learn about their goals, their jobs, their families, and so much more. It is something we don’t take for granted. The three points on the Trident stand for trust, loyalty, and respect. We believe that should be at the core of any relationship, whether it is a significant other, a friend/family member, a co-worker, or in our case a physical therapist and their client. They are the core values that create the foundation of Trident Physical Therapy. We aim to provide an unmatched physical therapy experience like you’ve never seen before from start to finish.
