Physical Therapist in Rockville Centre, NY
Performance PT from athletes who get it
Trident Physical Therapy is a one-on-one, cash-based performance PT clinic in Rockville Centre, NY. Led by CSCS- and TPI-certified physical therapists who train and compete themselves, every program is built around your sport, your body, and the goals you're actually working toward.

We treat athletes like athletes
Most PT clinics get you back to "okay." That's not the goal here. Trident was built for active adults and athletes who are training for a race, staying on the course, or pushing their performance further, people who need more than a generic exercise handout. Every session is one-on-one, every program is customized, and your providers train and compete themselves. They know what it takes to get back and to stay there.
Three points. One standard.
The name Trident stands for three things: Trust, Loyalty, and Respect. These aren't marketing words, they're how this clinic operates with every client, every session.
Trust
You'll always know your plan, your progress, and the reasoning behind it. No handoffs, no surprises.
Loyalty
Your providers are invested in your outcome not just the session you're in. They're in it for the long game.
Respect
Your time, your goals, and your effort are taken seriously here. Every program reflects that.
Meet the team behind Trident PT
Every provider at Trident is a credentialed physical therapist with specialized training in performance, strength, and sport. You'll work one-on-one with your provider every session, no handoffs, no techs.

I’m Dr. Matt. I was born and raised in Massapequa, NY. Once a Chief, always a Chief! Sports have always been a major part of my life. I’m an athlete and will always be an athlete. I played college baseball at Adelphi University. I wasn’t always the most talented on the field, but you better believe I was always one of the hardest workers in the room.
After graduating from Adelphi, I started working as a PT aide and a strength & conditioning coach for an outpatient orthopedic company. I worked with every sport you can think of and with athletes ranging from the high school to professional levels.
I attended New York Institute of Technology where I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While in school, I had several clinical affiliations at a variety of different outpatient orthopedic practices throughout New York. After graduation, I continued working for the same outpatient orthopedic company for a year or so, but it wasn’t long until I wanted to take things to the next level. I was sick of having multiple patients scheduled at once and not being able to provide the quality of care I knew I could give and my patients deserved. That’s where Trident Physical Therapy was born.
Nowadays, I continue to push the limits and make sure I maintain an athlete’s mindset. I’m a jack of all trades and believe in practicing what you preach. You’ll find me strength training in the gym at least 3–4 times a week. I do yoga, and I’ve fallen in love with running—especially when the weather cooperates.
In the past year, I’ve taken on the endurance world and completed my first full marathon—the iconic New York City Marathon. I’ve got my sights set on completing the other world major marathons now. The goal is and will continue to be to show up, compete, and crush expectations.
If you’re looking for someone to hold your hand, you came to the wrong place. If you want someone who’s going to push you to be the best version of yourself, then I’m your guy. You give me 100% effort, and I’ll give you 110% all day, every day. It’s time to flip the script on what you think physical therapy looks like. If you’re ready for an unmatched physical therapy experience, let’s get started.

Hey I’m Dr. Spencer. I’m a physical therapist with a broad background in sports, strength, and conditioning. I’m a former collegiate lacrosse player with 6 years of NCAA experience. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in a variety of training approaches, allowing me to tailor my methods to best meet the needs of each individual. I’m passionate about working with clients of all levels, whether you're recovering from an injury or striving to reach new performance goals. My focus goes beyond just helping you return to a pain-free life—I’m dedicated to taking you to the next level, unlocking your full potential, and guiding you toward long-term success. I look forward to partnering with you on your rehabilitation journey towards improved performance.

I’m Shenneika, the Client Care Coordinator at Trident Physical Therapy. With over 15 years of experience in customer support, care coordination, and client communication, I’ve built my career around helping people feel supported, heard, and taken care of.
At Trident, I help manage scheduling, patient communication, follow-ups, events, community outreach, and social media content. From booking evaluations to helping organize golf and performance events, creating graphics for social media, and keeping patients informed, I’m usually behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly.
I love being part of a team that helps people move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love. My goal is always to make every patient experience feel personal, welcoming, and stress-free, with a little fun and positive energy along the way.
If you ever need help, have questions, or are not sure where to start, I’m always just a text, call, or DM away!
