Dr. Matthew Barle PT, DPT, CSCS, USAW

Founder

Matt is the founder of Trident Physical Therapy. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Adelphi University. He is a Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, as well as a Level 1 Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting. Matt utilizes state of the art equipment in his practice and attends continuing education courses annually to stay up to date on the latest knowledge in the field of physical therapy. He is a Graston Technique Provider and Maitland trained, which play a role in his manual therapy.

As a former collegiate baseball player at Adelphi University, Matt has been in and out of physical therapy himself numerous times, which helps him relate more to his patients. Through his experience as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, Matt has worked with athletes from the high school, college, and professional levels. Matt believes in combining the worlds of physical therapy and strength & conditioning when creating programs in order to optimize performance and get the individual feeling the best they ever have.
